Author of lyrical fantasy woven with shadowed love, forgotten magic, and heroines who dare.

The Witch They Wanted

Now Released: The Witch They Wanted

They locked her in a tower and called her wicked.
She was just a girl—until the tower whispered back.

I’m thrilled to share that my newest dark fairytale novella, The Witch They Wanted, is now available on Kindle and in paperback. This story has lived in my bones for a long time — an origin tale for the witches who don’t start out wicked, who are shaped by silence, hunger, and being forgotten.

It’s a retelling of Rapunzel…but not the one you remember.

This version begins in a tower, yes, but the girl inside is no damsel. She braids her hair not for romance or vanity, but for survival. When a prince appears below, all golden cloak and easy promises, she dares to hope. But hope, like hair, can be cut.

What follows is a transformation: of grief into power, of stone into magic, of girl into witch.

What to Expect Inside the Book:

  • A haunted tower that listens — and answers
  • Long hair, sharp magic, and quiet fury
  • A prince who gets exactly what he deserves
  • A lyrical, emotionally rich voice in the spirit of Ava Reid, Naomi Novik, and Erin A. Craig
  • A standalone gothic fairytale under 9K words — short, sharp, and unforgettable

Why This Story Now?

I wrote The Witch They Wanted for anyone who’s ever been called too much, too strange, too angry. For those who were told to stay small, quiet, good — and chose instead to become something else.

This is not a redemption arc.
It’s a reclamation.

Thank you for reading, for sharing, for stepping into the tower with me.
